She is our ONLY child who has ever actually really dug into her 1st birthday cake. Chlo didn't dare touch it in fear she'd get dirty and Carlee just cried... Thanks Jay :)

Heather took the paper off the cupcake so Jaylee could dig in - you can tell Jaylee is getting a bit impatient.

She thought the candle on the cupcake was awesome. I had to move it far from her reach seeing as she just about touched the flame.

Jaylee and her birthday cupcakes. She is so into animals we just did cupcakes with littlest petshops on the top. She seemed to really like it. And of coarse she's accessoriesed with the happy birthday crown!

G&G Jackman got Jaylee a cute stroller and baby doll. She has fun standing next to it but is still a little timid to push it :)
After the zoo we all came back to our house for pizza and cake. Grandpa and Bailey had a great time bonding.

Our whole zoo group. It was amazing having all the extra people with us. Thanks for coming everyone!

Another tradition - we ALWAYS get a family picture with this gorilla. It's fun to look back at all of them.

I LOVE African animals - my favorites are elephants, zebras and of coarse giraffes.

Grandma lounging with Bailey outside the reptile building.

Jaylee's first drink out of the lion fountain - a family tradition.

The granddaughters. Aren't they so sweet???

I can't believe how big my girls are getting - not quite as big as gorillas though - even though they act like one sometimes :)

Jaylee LOVED the bears too - she thought it was cool to watch them move around.

Dave was so great showing Jaylee all the animals. She'd start shaking her arms and making monkey sounds whenever she'd see one.

Grandma and Chlo watched the penguins be cleaned off by the zookeeper.

Carlee loved the penguins. We sat and watched them play for quite a while.

Becca and Chlo were little matching buddies at the zoo. It was way cute!
Jaylee peeking around her stroller to see who was behind her. This stroller was her birthday present from me and Dave. Nice gift huh??? :)

After Breakfast Bailey and Jaylee enjoyed a bath together in the sink. They had a BALL!
Jaylee's first picture being 1! We spent the night at Grandma's so we could have a family dinner and spend time with cousins on Friday morning. Grandma made Jaylee her favorite breakfast - Pancakes. Thanks mom!
I was really excited for Jaylee's birthday this year. I have to admit that I'm blown away at how fast this year has gone by. Jaylee has been a wonderful addition to our family and I don't know how we'd do without her. She is so playful and fun and wants to do whatever her big sisters are doing. Her biggest trademark is how she greets people. She'll point out her pointer finger and want you to touch yours to hers and say dzzt... SO CUTE!!! She's been trying to pull herself to standing and will get brave and let go every so often. I think she's content with crawling at lighting speed to get around. She'll even crawl unprotected on the concrete - she has amazing caluses on her knees and top of her feet. She can say mom and dad but mostly just jabbers about nothing with an occasional "diddle" fit inside somewhere. She loves to dance as well - as soon as music starts her body starts to move. She is such a blessing and we're thankful she's ours forever! :)
