How quickly they grow

I have been so excited to get back into working out with the best workout partner ever!!! Thanks Crystal.  For some reason when we work out we laugh more than anything - thus making the workout much more effective.  We have a blast and it's so much better than doing it alone.
This is a scrapbook page I did years ago with Carlee and Zack (Crystal's youngest son)  Who would have thought that 5 years later we'd be at it again! :)  Aren't they SO cute!  We used to joke that they could pass as twins!
Look at them now!!! Still friends and still smiling.  Crystal and I were laughing at how much they've changed.  You'd never guess Zack is older than Carlee would you?  We joked that these two were a "buy one get one half off"! :)

Thanks for all the great times working out Crystal!  Let's hope with this round that we can get back to the rough, tough and buff women we were! :)

Birthday, PTA party, St. Patrick's day and Spring

Yes, once again it's been FOREVER since my last post.  So here goes a long one!! :)
I'll start with my birthday!  I love birthday's - always a great reason to spend time with those you care most about and to eat whatever you want! :)  My birthday didn't dissapoint in that area!  Chlo did get hurt on the playgroud by falling on her back so she came home early - but other than that we were good!
Dave had a convention in SLC the night of my birthday so my mom was gracious enough to come to dinner with us at Olive Garden.  After checking out the nutritional information (for Chlo) both mom and I decided it will be a LONG time before we eat there again... It was actually discusting to see what we were eating!  Still yummy, but not as good after knowing how much "stuff" I was putting in my system.  After dinner we met Dave and home for cake and ice cream - thanks for the adorable cake Crystal!  We loved it.  After the cake I went to another decorating class with my mom - It was awesome!!
My sweet BFF called Dave with the idea to do this for me (Mindy obviously put it together with the things he sent her).  I was thrilled!  Isn't it so cute, the girls, Dave and even Mindy added things to this adorable piece of art!  Thanks so much guys!  I'll love it forever!
I wanted to post a better picture - but since this was already on the computer I figured I'd use it.  For my birthday I got some money - thanks moms and dads! :)  I used it to continue improving our home decor.  I am PUMPED with the way it's looking.  I added a lamp, curtains, painted more furniture and even put a few things in the kitchen.  Some day I'll get the nice brown leather couches I want - but until then - this is what I've got!  I was so lucky to have several friends remember me as well!  I got the most amazing candle sticks from Mindy and a WHOLE collection of recipes, pre-sorted, from Jen!  Not to mention the countdown blocks from Julie and many cards, emails and texts!  Thanks everyone for making me feel so special on my birthday!
On Friday night the school had a PTA activity for the kids.  Chlo really wanted to go to catch up with some of her friends.  It was so much fun!  They had a DJ and we just danced all night.  As you can see Chlo was successful in finding a few friends and they had a blast!
Carlee got her fingers painted and they looked great!  I got a few pictures of Dave dancing with Jaylee (which was ADORABLE) but none of them turned out - all too fuzzy!  Dang!
Happy St. Patrick's day!  Carlee looked so dang cute after school on Wednesday I had to snap a shot!  They made these adorable hats and had clovers painted on their cheeks!  She had so much fun - I totally forgot about the "bring a green treat to school" so she ended up bringing some green Christmas tree marshmallows I had left over from the holidays... oops - they sort of looked like clovers... :)
The weather was so fantastic yesterday we decided to play outside.  The girls had a blast and were even more thrilled when their best buddies came to join them!  I love spring!
Bonden (another favorite friend) has this little A.T. Rex thing - Jaylee LOVED it.  This picture screams Jaylee to me!  Thanks for letting her try it out Bonden!

Reagan was a doll and showed Jaylee how to push the gas pedal to make it go.  Reagan decided to ride Jaylee's bike while Jaylee enjoyed Bonden's.  It was hillarious to watch Jaylee attempt to drive the thing herself.  We're going to have fun this summer!

A few side things to note - Dave and I also had our 10 year anniversary.  We're going to St. George in a few weeks to celebrate!  I can't wait.  It will be so nice to get away for a little bit.
As for Chlo and her pump.  We are loving it so far for the ease of use but getting it all ballanced and getting the right amout of insulin is tough!  I've been living on VERY little sleep due to having to test her to be sure we avoid all the lows... As a matter of fact, I was up every half hour the other night and fed her twice before I gave up and totally disconnected the pump from her body so I could sleep for at least an hour before I started my day...  Here's to hoping it gets better so I can get some much needed beauty sleep :)  Chlo is doing great with it and truly seems to prefer it over the shots.  She likes the idea that she can do the whole thing herself.  She actually gave herself insulin for dinner tonight...  Gotta love that!

Here's to the bravest kid I know!

Well, today we took a leap of faith and Chlo is officially on the diabetic pump!  After an hour and a half training video - three on-line training classes and a three hour personal training tonight Chlo is officially wearing the pump.  Cross all fingers and toes for me that I can figure this thing out quickly!  There is SO much information to know!  I just hope I don't mess anything up.  Chlo was SO brave tonight and even let us put in her first pump site in her tummy!  Yea Chlo!  She's excited and of coarse, happy that her pump is green.  She is worried that kids at school will make fun of her - they better not or I'll personally come and beat them :)  Thanks for being such an amazing example of bravery Chlo!  Love you forever!
