Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum

Today we decided we needed a day out. I called a friend and we decided to take the kids to the TG Point Dinosaur Museum. It was SO much fun! I didn't realise how nice it would be to go do something kid oriented. The girls have been there enough that they run to the water part, then straight to the sand... It was cute to watch them with my good friend Mindy's boys, Hunter and Easton. It's fun for us too because we can just sit and visit while the kids play. She and I are both expecting and she's only 5 weeks behind me (she usually comes a month early, so we're almost having a race :) ). She was so excited to find out what she was having that her cute hubby took her to Fetal photos last night and they found out she's having a GIRL!!! Yea Mindy! She's going to name her Betty Faye after her two grandmothers. I'm really excited for her. I only have 2 weeks from tomorrow until I find out. It should be interesting... :) Anyway, after enjoying popcorn and an ice cream creamie we headed home in the snow. I'm glad we were able to have such an enjoyable afternoon. Thanks Min!

Happy Birthday Dave!

Today was Dave's birthday. The girls were SO excited! Chlo wanted to get him a bag of M&M's and Carlee wanted to get him a Heart balloon. Fortunatly we were able to change Carlee's mind a little and she got him a round "happy birthday Dad" balloon instead :) The girls had a great time hanging up the streamers and taping up the "happy birthday" banner we have. Chlo was going crazy when everything was put up, she wanted to do more. I love how the girls are so into celebrating!

This year Dave wanted either a super hero cake or GI Joe... Unfortunatly there were not any new super hero cakes avaliable that he hasn't had before and they didn't have anything GI Joe (although we did get him camo plates and napkins for cake and ice cream :) ) I decided to go with He-Man. I had to explain to the girls who he was. Oddley enough the girl who was checking us out at the store didn't know who he was either... I'm getting old :) Dave seemed to really get a kick out of it. I'm glad he was able to have a great birthday and he's super thankful to all the cards and phone calls he got today. Thanks everyone!

Christmas times 2!

Today I was able to get and enjoy my Christmas present. For almost 8 years now Dave and I have talked about a dining table. In June I found one that I LOVED!!! Instead of a table we decided to invest in Dave's car (we love that too!) On Christmas Eve Dave told me I could go pick out a table for my Christmas gift! I was so excited. Needless to say we went to 4-6 different stores to be sure we got one we loved. I found a table in the second store we went into that I totally fell in love with! It was similar to the one I found in June, but counter high and had a wooden top instead of a black one. Even after visiting a few other stores we both still loved this one. We went to the old "Oak Plus" store (no idea what it's called now) and they were SO nice! I'd recommend this place to anyone! They gave us the same table we loved, plus the chairs and bench for considerably less than the other store! I was thrilled! Needless to say it has been an incredible month, Carlee's birthday, Christmas, New Years, a trip to Hawaii and now my new table! Life is good :)

88 Degrees in January???

So, I've decided this is the life! I'm ready for another week in Maui! We've had so much fun doing pretty much nothing! We've done so much laying out and reading it's not right :) The bad thing is, I feel asleep while listening to the book Twilight (which is amazing by the way) and got burned really, really bad! My poor ankles have swelled into cankles! Walking has turned into a chore! Good thing yesterday was Sunday so I could have a day to re-coop! We're planning on doing my mom and dad's bridge hike all together tomorrow, so cross your fingers the feet are feeling better :) We've been able to go to the Warren and Annabelle's magic show. SO GOOD! Loved the magic show, didn't care much for the pre-show. It was really fun to watch as Dan and Chanel were "helpers". I don't think Dan will ever live down the nickname Goober or the "inside joke" Papaya... the next night was the Luau. We were all so warn out from the traveling and the late nights we were a little glazed over. Attached is a picture of the affects of too much fun. Poor Shannon :) Most everyone here have loved the boogie boards. It's been fun to watch them attempt to conquer the waves. We've all decided that a week out here isn't enough, we've all petitioned for an extra week out here to relax and play. We'll be sad to leave tomorrow night. I am so glad that we were able to spend this time together as a family! Fun memories will always stay with me!

Toothless

Well, Chlo lost her first tooth last night! She was so cute about it. I think the tooth has been super loose for about a week now. Because she's never lost a tooth before she was a little afraid of the whole situation. Last night after pizza and a chocolate cupcake (yes, we eat super healthy on Friday nights) she showed me her tooth, it wouldn't even stand up straight! I told her I wanted to take a picture of how loose it was but before I could even find the camera the tooth had come out. She was so thriled! She immediatly ran into her room and put it under her pillow. This morning when she woke up there were $2 under her pillow. She came running into my room to show me her reward. She threw her arms around Carlee and said, "Carlee, look how awesome this is, maybe when you loose a tooth you can get this too!". It's so great to see how appreciative she is. We're so lucky to have her! :)
