First St. George trip of the summer!

Since school is over and Monday was a holiday we decided to head to St. George.  It was SO much fun - minus the fact that I got sick Friday morning and spent all night Friday and some of Saturday in bed... :)
As always, we spend most of our time in the pool.
Chlo was getting ready to squirt someone.  I love the look on her face.  She means trouble!
The first night mom and dad were there. This is one of the only pictures I got before I all but collapsed in bed.  I was so thankful they were there to help with the girls so I could sleep!  Sure wish I could have been out there playing with them though!
Dave always gets a little crazy with the girls in the pool.  He was doing his best to make super waves and spash Chlo.  Looks like he was doing a pretty good job!
Jaylee LOVED all the toys there.  She was trying to pour Dave a cup of tea.
Yea, in my rush to get ready on Friday morning I totally spaced packing Jaylee pj's.  This is what she ended up with.  Needless to say, she LOVES her new jammies.  This picture was also a riot because she was sporting Dave's shoes.  She is a shoe freak!  She'll put any on that she can get to.
Dave was playing music on his phone and letting the girls watch the music videos.  The girls though it was way cool.
This picture screams Dave... He was jamming and I caught this face.  Priceless.
Sunday we spent the afternoon hanging out outside. The girls blew bubbles, rode scooters and ran around the house.  It was so nice.

Adventure day with Heather

I had to add this picture first.  This was taken May 24th just 3 days before our zoo outing.  Of coarse I had already put the coats and gloves away for the season.... What in the world???
Seeing as it was the last week of school I promised Carlee that we could go to the zoo.  I was hoping that because it was the last week of school the zoo would be all but empty.  I was WAY wrong.  It was packed!  We still had a great time and it was even more fun having Heather with us. :)
This picture was actually really silly.  The bench was NASTY!  So Carlee sat on the end where there was minimal nastiness.
I decided to try the wagon this time instead of the stroller.  It was actually really nice minus the part where there was NO storage.  The girls liked being able to get in and out easily.
Jaylee LOVED the animals - especially the monkeys.  She and Carlee were fun to watch.
I just can't help but take endless amounts of pictures at the zoo.  What can I say - I'm out of control :)
The elephants are some of my most favorites.  As a matter of fact when I was a kid I'd collect all sorts of elephant things.  It was an extra treat to have a baby elephant to enjoy!
Carlee took this picture for us.  Can you tell we're sisters?
Heather and I thought this was one of the highlights of the WHOLE zoo trip!  Check out the sign.  We were laughing so hard we didn't even notice they spelled Giraffe wrong!
The girls loved the giraffes too but couldn't figure out why I thought the sign was so funny :)
Check out the giraffe's tongue!  If you look at the measurments behind him you can see how long his tongue actually is - this was actually taken after he started pulling it back in!  Crazy!
Heather taught Carlee how to pose like this.  She thought she was pretty "pimp" :)
Jaylee was a little freaked out by the whole train thing.  She ended up having a good time though.
Yea, I'm a total dork.  I had the train conductor take this pictue of us.  Love it! :)

Carlee's preschool graduation

Carlee graduated from her final year of preschool this year.  I can't believe she'll be in kindergarten next year.  She did a great job and we loved watching her perform!
My parents and Heather came to watch Carlee's graduation.  I loved having them there especially because Dave was out of town for work.
Chlo LOVES her preschool teacher, Mrs. Harmon.  It will be so sad not to have her next year.
My little grautate!  Doesn't she look so grown up?
Carlee read the story about Roudy the rat. She did such a great job!
She sang the song Purple.  She even wore all purpe and had purple fingernail polish on.  LOVE IT.
Chlo skipped out on school to come and watch.  She loved it!
I HAD to add in this picture.  This picture goes to show that even the most attractive people can take bad pictures :)

Happy Birthday mom

For mom's birthday we all met at the house and ate yummy food and had lots of fun.  The elk statue is part of her gift from dad - her favorite animals are elk... who would have thought.  Dad is actually taking her on an elk hunt this fall.  She's so excited!
I love this picture!  Dad is actually shoving the cup cake on her chin.  Hillarious
The girls loved helping grandma blow out her candles
I attempted a fancy cake for her.  It would have turned out if I wouldn't have had to transport it.  It was still yummy :)
It was fun having a lot of family with us.  Nothing better than family get togethers!
Hope you had a fantastic birthday mom!  Love you forever! xoxo

Random stuff

I decided to get a firepit for the family for the summer.  Yea, I've decided I have no idea how I certified at girls camp - I can't make a fire to save myself :)  We were able to have Heather over for the day and she helped put the pit together.  It was great having her play with us! :)

The microwaved marshmallows still worked. The girls LOVED them.
Chlo sees this great man often.  He's one of the doctor's at her diabetic doctor's office.  We call him Chad.  He's super nice!
My friend Crystal invited the girls and I to go to a Cinderella play with her and her daughter, Katie.  We didnt' know until we got there that it was actually a ballet.  15 minutes into it Carlee asked when the people were going to start talking.  I told her it was a ballet so they don't talk.  Her next question was, "when do we get to go home..." :)  So much for culture :)
This is Crystal with her cute Katie.  Aren't they so adorable??
The girls looked so cute we had to take their picture in the beautiful scenery.

After doing all my posts tonight with so many pictures I figured doing this one this way would be so much easier. :)  Mother's day has been a blast this year!  Thanks girls and Dave for making it so special.  We were able to spend the day with my mom this year and all my siblings and I went in on a custom necklace for  her with all our names on it.  She loved it!  We had dinner outside - thank you dad, Heather, Brian, Nate and Becca for helping do the dinner so mom didn't have to.  It was super yummy.  The girls had a blast playing in the water - Jaylee actually fell in...   Carlee loved the dress ups and Chlo collected pine cones off the trees so she could bring them home and plant a tree :)  We got to Skype with Julie, Dave and Bailey - total highlight!  It was such a fun day!  I have to give credit to Dave too - he actually went out on his own (well, with Jaylee) on Saturday and picked me out a shirt.  A cute one too!  It's a Twilight shirt.  He did such a great job!  Thanks Dave!  Thanks girls for the amazing cards and flowers too!  You're the best!

Ballroom dance!

Chlo and her dance partner Cyrus were actually able to perform this week.  They did such a fantastic job and looked SO cute!  Secretly Cyrus' mom and I were both tearing up watching them. :)
This is the dance group of kids...  Yea, they're crazy :)
Aren't the boys so handsome?
The girls were adorable!
Chlo and Cy are so cute to watch.  Cy is such a gentleman too!
They did the waltz to Sleeping Beauty music.  It was amazingly cute!
They both did such a smashing job!  I actually get to watch them one more time tomorrow morning.  I can't wait!
Grandma and Granpa Jackman were so good to come and watch her.  Chlo loved that they were there to support her.
It's crazy to see Chlo all decked out in makeup... Doesn't she look way too grown up??  You did a fantastic Job Chlo!  Love you tons!
