Easter

For Easter this year the girls each got a new dress.  They were so excited!  They all looked beautiful.  Before the gifts were given to them we sat and had a little chat about the true meaning of Easter and watched a clip off of LDS.org about Christ's sacrifice for us.  It was so great to have such a deep conversation with the girls.

We were so lucky to be able to have Aunt Heazy with us for the day, she even came with us to church!
Yea, these are my girls! :)
Of course we went to Grandma Marsh's house for the annual Easter egg hunt.  I honestly have no idea how many hundreds of eggs there were.
I think Jaylee was eating her candy as fast as Dave was getting it out of the eggs.  Jaylee LOVES finding eggs.
Carlee had a blast too and was great at getting the eggs that were harder to find.

One of the cousins spilled all his eggs - Chlo ran right over and started to pick up his eggs for him - this brought some other cousins over to help.  Thanks for being such a great example Chlo!
It was such a great day!

Redecorating!

The last few weeks I've been having fun moving around a lot of things in the house.  With the help of my parent's (who were kind enough to take one of the nasty green couches to the dump!!), my dear friend, Sarah, who helped with the re-arranging of things my amazing friend Crystal who gave some great ideas on sprucing things up and my BFF, Mindy, who helped me sand and re-paint all of my bar stools the house looks great!  It's amazing how much of a change you can get just by moving around the things you already have.  I'm so thankful for the decorative eyes of such great friends!!  It's so fun!!

Sorry, I still can't figure out how to get these pictures to flip right!  Dang blogger! :)

Let the Battle begin!

This year Chloé decided to participate in the Battle of the Books.  It's where kids are given a list of 20 books to read and in March they battle it out with the knowledge they have of these books and their authors.  Chlo made it to the second to last round!!!  They were the last 3rd grade team left in the battle (it was 3rd and 4th in competition).  She did a fantastic job and loved reading all the books.  She had a really cute team and they had a great time.

Happy Birthday to me!!

I am a HUGE fan of any holiday -including birthdays :)  I was lucky enough to be spoiled rotten this year :)  The girls took my barbie collection and set it up on the fireplace.  I did get 4 new dolls for my birthday!
The girls came in first thing in the morning to give me my gifts.  I was so excited!
Jaylee chose a cute barbie with a horse for me.  She and I were playing with them and she told me I needed to share - so SHE played with the horse and barbie.  I'm glad she likes my gift :)
Carlee got me the COOLEST legos ever!  They're girl legos.  With her help I was able to put together my new beauty salon.  It was super fun!  Jaylee likes this gift too and has already lost one of the ladies... DANG! :)
Chlo got me one of my favorite gifts!  The Frankie Stein Monster High doll.  Chlo and I both share a passion for the Monster High dolls and I'm trying to catch up to her with my collection.
What can I say about these two??? Miss Heather (or Fergi as we call her) set up to come make me dinner and bring a cake!  I was so excited!  It was super nice not to have to worry about dinner or a cake this year - I always have in the past.  I felt truly spoiled!!  Dinner was yummy too - as was the cake!
Justin and Amber came with Brian and Heather to help celebrate!  I loved it!  Honestly, there is nothing I'd want more than to spend my birthday with my family!  Perfect gift!
With all three girls help I was able to blow out all my candles.  Do I still get my wish?? :)
Brian actually made this cake by himself which made it all the more special.  The fun fetti cake is a favorite and we didn't have much left at the end of the night.  Great baking big b!
Jaylee took turns playing with each visitor.  Brian and Justin were great sports.  It was cute to watch them play dolls with Jaylee.  They are such good sports!  I love Brian's face in this picture!  He was really getting into the "Big headed dolls" :)
Justin LOVED this Thor hammer.  He kept shooting the bullets out of the end.  He got pretty good with his aim too.  He can't wait to have little Tucker so they can get him cool toys like this. :)
I just had to post this cute picture of my little Mitzy dog.  She's such a sweet thing and LOVES attention and snuggles.  She was spoiled rotten with that with all the company.  She still was good to come back to me for some snuggles too.

Thank you everyone for the cute gifts, phone calls, emails, texts and messages on Facebook.  It truly was one of the best birthday's I've had in a super long time!  I am truly blessed to have so many great people in my life!!

My most beautiful girls

Today I took the girls out for a little photo shoot.  It's been a long time since I've done pictures so I felt a bit rusty.  I was thrilled with the way they turned out.  It does make it tons easier when the things you're taking pictures of are so amazing!  Thanks for toughing out the cold for 45 minutes tonight girls.  It was well worth it!  You are BEAUTIFUL!  I am truly lucky to be your mom! XOXO

2nd "year of Dave" activity

So, the second activity for the "year of Dave" was a Monster Truck show.  It was AWESOME!!!  Our dear friend Heather Ferguson hooked us up with AMAZING seats!  Not only that but Dave, my brother Nate, and his friend Jeff were able to be the "judges".  We got to the show an hour and a half early so Dave could be trained on what he needed to do.  We also got pictures with one of the cars.  Funny enough - this car won 2 of the competitions.  He's from Utah too!  It was crazy to see how big the trucks were then to see what they did!
This is when the "crush cars" were pre-damaged...  Well, you know what I mean. :)
Heather sang the national anthem and did a spectacular job! I felt so special knowing a celebrity! :)
This was my favorite car!  It was the Wolverine!  SO COOL!!!
Because Nate, Jeff and Dave were score keepers the were on the big screen a lot of the night!  If you look super close you can see me taking their picture off next to Dave... Oops :)  They did a great job and had a ton of fun.
Nate and Jeff got to do some race timing for part of the time too.  They did a great job!
This was the winner Maximum Destruction's driver.  Him, being from Utah, got lots of extra cheers. He rolled his car at the very end but was of course okay.  It was AMAZING to watch!
I didn't have my camera out when he rolled so I tried to take a picture of the replay.  It really was super crazy!
This was our fun group!  We even went to Crown Burger after and stayed until it closed.  Brian was super nice and took Dave to get the car so I didn't have to walk to get it.  During dinner we talked about stories when me and my brothers were little.  We were all laughing so hard remembering all the dumb and crazy things they did.  I'm truly lucky to have such an amazing family and friends!!  These "year of Dave" activities keep getting better and better!! :)

Park City

I got a phone call late Thursday night from a good friend asking if we wanted to use a timeshare in Park City for Friday night. They had an extra room that we could use if we wanted to.  After talking to Dave we decided it would be fun!  I called and arranged a sitter for the dog and we went!  It was really fast but we had a great time.
This was outside our hotel room.  The girls thought it was cool to stand by the fire to get warm.
We stopped at this little pizza place called Vinto.  It wasn't very good and a super "posh" pizza place.  We didn't fit in so well with our sweats and well, kids in general :)
Dave showed the girls how to play chess in this little activity center put on by the hotel.  They had a good time.
Jaylee had fun with all the other activities.  She had to make lunch for me and we sat down for a tea party.  After we played for a bit we decided to go swimming.  This was quite the project seeing as the pool was a good 1 1/2 blocks from our room and it was outside!  We toughed it out and were glad we did.  We met up with our friends who offered us the room and our kids had a blast!
All three girls shared the bed in the couch.  This went great until about 5am when Jaylee decided she needed the whole bed and started kicking her sisters :)

It was such a fun night and the girls loved being able to get out and do something different.  Thanks Brown Family!!!  We owe you one for sure!

Carlee's first phone call "from a boy" :)

Today Carlee got a random phone call from a cute boy in her school class.  She ended up "talking" to him for over 20 minutes.  Most of the conversation was Carlee asking him why he called her.  All she really got was him asking her what her favorite soda was.  I guess there were people in the background yelling, "he called because he loves you" :)  Hilarious!  I was asking Carlee how he got our number and she said she gave it to him...  Huh, I didn't think I had to talk to my 7 year old about not giving out her number to cute boys yet.  :)  Yea, I'm the crazy mom too who took a picture of her on the phone with him.  I have to document stuff! :)

Happy belated birthday Amber

Today we finally got to go shopping for Amber's birthday.  She was on bed rest the day we wanted to go shopping so only went to lunch (which was way fun too)  She was able to go to babies r us and get her an infant car seat!  It was fun going into the baby store again looking at all the fun new stuff.  Jaylee and Grandma took a little rest on the gliders.  I think Jaylee tried out most of them.  Hilarious!
After the shopping was done, Amber took us to this new frozen yogurt place.  It was DELICIOUS!! You get to pump out your own ice cream and put on your own toppings.  They charge you by weight.  Smart huh?  It was a fun day and it was great to celebrate Amber!  Love you ladies!!  Let's do it again soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's day this year we decided to decorate sugar cookies and deliver them to the boys at work.  Brian, Nate, Justin and Uncle Matt all work with Dave at Xactware - great way to get them all in one shot :)  The girls decorated some adorable cookies and did some fantastic cards for them.  Each card was hand done and included a kiss from both Chlo and Carlee with lipstick.  It was super cute!  The boys were excited to get them.  The co-workers were excited to share too :)

I got to help with Chlo's class party too.  It was crazy because I had to take Jaylee with me.  The kids in her class were super nice to Jaylee and let her participate as much as she wanted.  Chlo was super nice too and let Jaylee help her decorate her valentine bag.  I was able to help in Carlee's class earlier that morning but I forgot to bring in my camera!  Dang! :)  Carlee had a great time too.  Jaylee even had her first official Valentine party and came home with a TON of treats.  Needless to say, Jaylee hid her candy and Carlee's candy and ate it herself!!  I had to get Carlee a few treats at the store to make up for the treats Jaylee took. :)  It was a fun day!
For V day this year I told Dave that if he went with me to the DVD release party of Breaking Dawn it would count as his gift.  He did!!  I got one of the first copies.  I love this movie best out of the 4 out so far!!  Thanks Dave!! I love it! :)
