TG point... again...

Today we were lucky enough to have one of Carlee's friends over to play with us.  We decided it would be fun to go to the gardens and have lunch.  We had a blast!

Carlee and Samara had such a great time.  Samara was saying how beautiful it was.

It was so funny, the ducks in the pond stopped swimming and waited for us to take this picture.  Honestly as soon as the picture was over they swam away... Crazy!

The girls decided to take a spaz break... They had so much fun running and doing summersaults.

Stuff...

I love my girls!  They are SO helpful.  The other morning I was unloading the dishwasher and Jaylee came to help.  She even knew where to put the silverware!  Gotta love that! :)

Maybe I'd better correct my previous statement... Some of the girls are so clean - apparently not one of them... This is honestly what the girls room looked like!  I have to admit I am embarassed to show this picture - needless to say, it doesn't look like this anymore.

This is why I don't like to shower during the day... Jaylee got a hold of the fingernail polish and decided to paint the carpet upstairs and her body... This is a picture taken AFTER a bath too... Never a dull moment.

The girls do like to help me make bread - especially when they get to punch and hit the dough.  It is a great way to relieve stress! :)

Chlo had some spring pictures taken this last week.  I really like how they turned out.  She is such an amazing girl and one of my personal heroes!  Isn't she so beautiful???

She is just such a fantastic kid!  She truly is a star! :) Love you Chlo!

Happy Birthday Nate!  This weekend we were able to go to my parent's house to celebrate Nate's birthday.  He is actually turning 26 - so we used the 25 candles plus 1... So funny!  Great thinking mom! :)  Nate, you are truly an amazing brother!  I am so blessed to have you in my life! xoxo

The weather has been NUTS!!!  One day it's 82 degrees then the next it looks like this... Yes, that is marble sized hail!  We even lost the power for a while!

This last weekend I was so lucky to be able to go to my BFF from highschool's baby blessing.  She is such a beautiful baby!  It was such a sweet experience.  Thanks for letting me come and take part Kirsten!  Love ya!

Tulip festival

Today Carlee, Jaylee and I were lucky enough to go to the tulip festival with my mom, dad and sister, Heather.  We had a blast!  I can't wait to go again!

Carlee is picture perfect for sure!  What a princess!!!  The best part about this picture was the fact that Carlee said she wished she'd have been wearing different shoes.  She didn't like how the flip flops looked in the picture... What a diva!

Ballroom Dance performance - Girl's day!

On Saturday my mom was sweet enough to envite me, Chloé and Carlee to the BYU ballroom dance performance.  My sisters Heather and Becca went with us too.  It was spectacular!  I think it really made Chlo excited that she was in ballroom dance class.  She said she wanted to be as professional as those dancers.  It was awesome to spend time with my favorite girls too!  (We missed Amber and Julie though!!)  After the performance we went to Los Hermonos for dinner.  It was great!  We laughed and caught up with Heather, who just finished her first year at BYUI.  She was telling us about her new "Friend" and about her college experiene.  She told us about a friend who met this guy named Bob Loblaw.  I don't think his parents thought through that one very well... I still laugh at that one!  Gotta love it! :)  It was a fantastic day!  Thanks for the opportunity mom!  xoxo

St. George... NO KIDS!!!

This last week I got one of the best gifts any mother could ask for!  My parent's took the kids from Monday through Thursday so Dave and I could get some time away.  It was SO nice!  We decided to take advantage of St. George so we could get some sun and heat but not be too far from home since it's mom's first time with Chlo and the pump.   When we got to St. George on Monday night it was raining really hard!  Because I LOVE the rain, this was okay for me.  While eating dinner at Bajio's - it turned to hail...  From what I understand this is actually better than what everyone back home was getting - they had snow!  Enough that the girls and grandma were able to make a snowman!!!  Dave and I had a great time shopping, eating, watching movies, eating, extra sleep, eating, and even some hiking in snow canyon, not to mention eating.  The bad (or good depending on how you look at it) thing was we really didn't eat one healthy thing the whole time we were there... Oops...  I finished off a whole package of oreos, Dave downed a few packages of chips and some 2 liters of pop... the list could go on and on - for dinner on Thursday night we even shared a bag of carmel popcorn... It was nice to come home and have a "normal" meal with fruit and veggies.  As much as I missed the girls it was so nice not to have any responsibilities.  Even the girls told us when we got to grandma's that they wanted us to turn around and go back to St. George so they could stay.  I feel so lucky to have such amazing parents that would be willing to take the girls for us so we can have the opportunity to get away.  From what I understand the girls got to build snowmen, watch movies, have tea parties, put on shows, Bean museum, out to a theater to see "How to train your Dragon" - in 3-D no less, host a FHE for Uncle Brian's ward, and much more!  I don't blame them for not wanting to come home.  All we did today was go to the store and make strawberry jam...

This was a pretty interesting place.  I loved how the rocks looked.  Fun to climb too! :)

Okay, so I cringe every time I look at this picture.  On Tuesday night Dave and I decided to get in the hot tub at about 11pm.  The water wasn't very warm so every time the "heating" jets blew out hot water we'd huddle down by them and put as much of our body by them as possible.  We did this several times.  One of the times Dave started FREAKING out.  He said he just had something small and squishy fly into his hands.  He was sure it was a mouse or frog...  We couldn't tell because the jets were on high.  He jumped out of the hot tub at lightning speed.  Once I turned off the jets I went back to check things out... Yep - it was a boiled frog.  NASTY!!!  I honeslty get the dry heaves every time I look at the picture and think about us taking a soak in the "Frog stew"  If you look close in the picture you can see the dead frog at the bottom of the hot tub.  Dave says he'll never get in again... :)

On Tuesday we went shopping all day!  We even drove down to the Las Vegas outlets.  It was great - didn't have to mess with any of the strip stuff but still got to shop!  I have to admit though, the shopping wasn't that great.  I felt like the shopping at home was just as good.  Dave was a great sport though and shopped with me most of the day.  We didn't even do that much damage to the checking account :)

I love doing pictures in photo booths so when I spied one in the St. George mall, I HAD to do it.  Because I didn't have exact cash I ended up buying some $2 gel from a hair place... Sort of frustrating but it was worth it.  The pictures are terrible - but have fun memories.

Happy Easter

This year for Easter there seemed to be lots and lots of egg hunts.  The girls didn't seem to mind and truly enjoyed the activity :)

I was able to help in Carlee's class for the Easter party.  It was fun to see her interact with the other kids in her class.  They got to color Easter eggs, make cute baskets to hold them in and even have an easter egg hunt.  Lots of fun!

Chlo woke up on Friday morning saying she had to throw up... yes, made for an interesting morning.  I think she may have just been hungry or something - she was fine.  She decided that she wanted to come help at Carlee's party before she went to school.  I agreed because I had already told her she could stay home (due to the fact that she was curled up by the toilet all morning...)  Chlo loves to help in Carlee's class since it's the same teacher she had.  Mrs. Harmon loved having Chlo there to help!

This is what the girls got from the easter bunny this year.  Seeing as they were going to grandma and grandpa's for the week I figured the bags were appropriate - I have to admit that the fact there were Eiffel tower's on them FORCED me to purchase them :)

Grandma Marsh got the girls these adorable shirts.  Don't they look so cute?!

After dinner we had our annual easter egg hunt (yes, another one)  the little kids were in the basement and the big kids hunted outside.  Jaylee LOVED hunting for eggs too - now that she's put together that there is candy inside...

Most of Jaylee's treats will be eaten by Dave though... :)

So this year instead of filling all the eggs with candy, Shannon had the brilliant idea of giving tickets.  You could exchange the tickets for prizes.  The kids LOVED it.  What a great idea too - as much as we all love the candy - too much is too much :)

As for a great end to a great day - Dan had all the kids with silly string sneak up on Dave and spray him.  It was hillarious to watch.  Dan, once again proves that he is still a kid at heart.  Thanks for the laughs  Dan, you're awesome!

ApRiL FoOlS

Chlo reminded me this morning that March is supposed to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb... Yea, not so much...  March actually came in like a lamb and out like a lion.  Seemed appropriate today to wake up to snow seeing as it is April Fools day.  We still took some time to have some fun!

This is what things looked like out my back door this morning...

It warmed up a tad - just enough to melt the snow, just in time for us to do the development sponsored egg hunt.  The girls LOVED it.  Chlo ran into a cute school friend of hers - Paige.  Thanks for adding your smile to the picture! :)

It was fun to see Jaylee actually understand what she was supposed to do this year.  She had so much fun putting eggs into her tiny bag - I'll fix that for next year.  Carlee and I ended up filling her hood with eggs too.

You could say Carlee cheated a little... she actally went egg hunting in the 0-2 years section... I didn't want her alone and Chlo was in the 6-8 year section - didn't want Carlee to get trampled by the big kids either...  She didn't seem to mind.

Jaylee LOVED it!  Her smile says it all "Mom, I'm cold and want to eat my candy!" :)

The girls did great this year - lots of unnecessary candy!  Always love that!

It was a fun activity, I'm glad it warmed up a tiny bit for us.
