Happy Birthday Katie!

Yesterday one of Chloé's really good friends invited her to her skating birthday party. It was SO much fun! Chlo and Carlee were able to go and eat pizza, ice cream, cake and even scooter around the rink :) Carlee was a bit intimidated by her surroundings so she pretty much hung around me while I took pictures :) Katie's mom did such a great job with the party and was super generous. Not only did they get to skate but they got tokens for the games. The girls liked this I think more thank the skating. Carlee had a blast with the throwing games and Chlo liked the ones she could win tickets. She actually won one game where it gave her 135 tickets! Man, she's got ticket skills! :) Thanks again Crystal for inviting us to your cute Katie's party! It was a blast and I'm sure it will be talked about for days to come!

Exciting week

This last week has been pretty crazy for us. We've finally decided to start finishing our basement. YAHOO!!! It's been so much fun watching things happen. We hired these framers who are beyond amazing! So if anyone's looking for one let me know. They're fast, good and a great price! Today they're doing our HVAC and hopefully next week will be plumbing and electrical. I'm still waiting for calls back from those guys. Attached are a few pictures of the girls favorite part of the basement. I designed a castle playhouse under the stairs that they LOVE. The framers did a great job interpreting my idea. Dave's favorite part will be the sauna (mine too I think). It will be nice to have some extra space and some real kid space that they can truly be the princesses they are :)

Sunday we went to my parents house for dinner - thanks mom for dinner - it was awesome! Anyway, Chlo has had a super loose tooth for about 2 weeks now. She's asked me to pull it out for her while she's asleep but I counld't gut up the nerve... I told her on Suday we'd have grandpa pull it out (my dad pulled out a few of my teeth for me, so I knew he was in practice) That threat must have given her extra courage, she pulled her tooth out right there in grandma's kitchen! It was so cute! Grandma let her pick out a few coins from her little bucket as a congratulations gift. Chlo thought that was way neat. When we got home she, of coarse, lost her tooth under her pillow somewhere. She was devistated! After looking for it for several minutes she suggested she say a prayer so they tooth fairy would know what happened. So cute! I'm so glad she knows where to turn even for little things like a lost tooth. Anyway, she was super pumped when the tooth fairy did show up and give her a few dollars. She said her prayer worked :)

Yesterday we were able to go to Nelson's for dinner. It's always fun to get together with them. We love being able to catch up and the girls LOVE their cousins! As soon as we leave they ask when the next time will be they can see them.
What a fun week! We're trying to enjoy all the time we have before the baby comes. We'll totally take advantage of the freedom :)

Heather's Prom Date

Since my last "Heather" post, I've had a few requests to post some pictures of her date. So here you go! :) She had so much fun! For their day date they went to the zoo... It happened to be mother and baby day, so they were each able to get a t-shirt that had something to do with that written on them. They came home and she had a good friend help her pull her hair up. (I think she looked spectacular!) Her date came to get her and they headed over to Macaroni Grill for dinner. I guess they had reservations but they didn't stick... After waiting over an hour past their reservations they were seated. From what I understand the waitress was beyond rude and there were a few other "restaurant eaters" who were making wise cracks and rude comments to them while they tried to order. What is up with that anyway. Why would you do that??? I wish I'd have been there, being an ornery pregnant lady they would have had an earful from me :) Needles to say they ended up getting their dinner to go since they had to get to the dance before it was over. They didn't even get to eat until after the dance at one of the other guy's houses... Nuts, so much for a warm meal. Heather said she'd never eat there again because the service was so horrible. She did have a good time and her date was really great. I'm glad she was able to go and just have a good time. Thanks Hez for letting me share a bit of your life on my blog :) Love you tons!

Preschool Graduation

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. It's not like me :) Our computer actually got a bit frizzled in the last power outage... Thanks Matt for all your help fixing my lifeline to the world!

Today was Chloé's preschool graduation. It was really cute. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it went. Each member of her class sang a song and read a book. It was cute to watch all the kids show off their talents. Chlo did such a great job! She did her song and read her book nearly perfect! I was so proud of her. She looked way cute in the cap and gown too. It made her look so grown up!

Grandma Jackman came to support her which was SO much appreciated. I know it meant a lot to Chlo to have her there. Carlee and dad were, of coarse, happy to be there, but a total distraction with all the noise they were making :) Chlo thought it was pretty funny. One of Chlo's friends, Tommy, had to sing the song called "pink". Needless to say he wasn't very happy until he found out he got to throw bubble gum. Carlee LOVES gum, so as you can see in one of the pictures she and dad were enjoying their "catch".

This year Chlo has had her eyes on quite a few of the boys. She has finally settled on her favorite. Cute little James. His mom came and talked to me after the graduation and told me James talks about Chlo all the time too. She told me he told he told his parents he and Chlo were getting married in the temple but his dad counldn't go because he didn't have a ticket. What a motivator! Thanks James for being such a great example to your dad. Just a side note on James, he says he wants to be a missionary when he grows up. I take my hat off to his parents for raising such a great kid!

Today was great fun and Chlo is excited to move on to the next stage in her life... Kindergarten!

Mother's Day St. George Trip

This weekend we had the opportunity to go to St. George for the weekend. We had a blast! Not to mention the temperature was in the high 80's! We had a great time swimming, shopping, vegging (lots of NBA basketball - Go Jazz!), eating and playing with cousins and family. It was so fun to spend time with the Nelson family and create new memories as well as talk about old ones. (Thanks Shannon and Dan for the Blue Pillow story - that's one I'll never forget! ) It was so nice not to have to cook or clean for a few days. What a treat! The girls had so much fun we had to drag them home. Chlo has decided that St. George is her favorite place to go. We missed Chanel and Becky and hopefully they'll be able to come next time.

One quick shout out to Marsha and my mom. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Love you tons and tons! Thanks for all you do to support me and my growing family!

A girls day out with Aunt Becca

Today we were so lucky to spend the day with my fabulous sister-in-law, Becca. She is such a sweet heart and we had a blast! We got to see her and my brother's new appartment, Becca - it's awesome! It's a cute little studio apartment down in Provo. In their back yard they have this huge river! It's beautiful! They have a super fun park right behind them as well. The girls were thrilled to spend the afternoon with Becca at the park. We were also able to get a yummy ice cream treat to top the afternoon off.

I just have to put a shout out to my parents quick too - today my dad went with me to get new tires on the tahoe, it was nice to know I wasn't just some prego going into the big-o store to be taken advantage of. He made sure I got what I needed and the price was fair. Thanks Dad! Also, my mom volunteered to finish the quilt for my nursery. If any of you know me you know that I dispise hand sewing! My mom did an amazing job finishing it up for me and it took her hardly any time at all! She's so talented! Thanks Mom!

Thanks to everyone who helped make our day so much fun!

She found it!

Yesterday Heather found her prom dress! I was so lucky and able to go with her to a fitting this morning. Attached is the picture of the dress she chose. She just got back from a tennis lesson and look how beautiful she still looks! Amazing! :) I'm way excited for you Hez!

It's prom time

My sister Heather was asked to prom this last week. Since we're going to be out of town and unable to help her "primp", we went prom dress shopping with her instead. We had a BLAST! The girls loved helping her choose dresses to try on and actually helped her in the dressing room. Heather's favorite was the beautiful purple gown. Needless to say, the price is out of control, so Heather will be looking for a different option. Of coarse she looks good in everything so it won't matter what she picks. Her date is truly lucky! Thanks for letting us tag along Hez!

I think the girls had a bit to much "grown up girls time", as you can see the girls really want to be a little more "grown up". Thanks again Mom and Hez for the fun day! You are truly amazingly fun ladies to hang out with!
