Great Granmda's 80th Birthday Party

For my grandma's 80th birthday she decided she wanted to do a temple session with as many of her family memebers as possible.  We had quite the group.  The picture here doesn't show everyone who came - some left early to get the rest of their kids to meet us for lunch later.  It was such an amazing experience to be in the temple with so much of my family!  My grandma was all a glow!  She looked around and said, "this is going to be one of those days I'll remember forever".  It was so special to be a part of her day!

My parent's were married in the Ogden temple 35 years ago this year.  They're closing the temple for renovations - so this is the last time they'll see it the way it was when they were married.  I was SO TICKED that dumb blue car was in the back.  We should have probably waited until it left...
Dave was so nice and stayed home with the girls so I could go to this with my family.  I rode up with my dad and Brian.  It was cute hearing dad talk about the things he remembered about his wedding day - he said he drove alone to the temple while mom rode with her parents.  Mom spent the night with her mom and sisters the night before Grandma's birthday to have a little slumber party - so dad said he almost felt the same way he did on his wedding day.  I guess on their wedding day they both stopped at the same stop light and dad said he felt wierd and nervous because he's not supposed to see the bride before the wedding :)  So cute!
Brian has a goal this year to go to every major temple in Utah. He definitly checked this one off! :)

My grandparent's are the cutest people ever!  They are still so cute together and you can see the love they have for eachother in their eyes.  Grandpa tried to plan this day for Grandma, he said he was so stressed about the whole thing he hasn't slept for 2 weeks.  He was thrilled with the turn out and made the coment that he's excited to sleep again :)

This picture is going in a frame for sure!!!  I'm super proud of this one :)  There was actually a group of YW going by while I was taking this picture - they were ooing and awing at how cute my grandparent's were.  They said, "they even kiss cute"!  And this they do!

After the temple we met at Chuckarama for lunch.  It was a great place for a big family to sit and eat while making messes and being loud! :)  It was fun to catch up with everyone and see all these babies I haven't met yet.  I can't belive how big this family has gotten.  I love it!

Happy birthday Granmda!  I hope it has been an amazing day for you!  I will also never forget this day!  Thank you for letting me be a part of your life!  Love you!  xoxo

FINALLY!!! A visit with Grandma and Grandpa

We haven't been able to spend much time with my family as of late seeing as there has been a lot of traveling.  I don't think we've spent time with them in the last 6 weeks!  TERRIBLE!  We were so excited to be invited to watch the last BYU basketball game with them.  No, we're not BYU fans but we like food, family and basktball :)
Grandma has a place in her basement where she keeps track of how tall everyone is.  All the girls have grown between 3 and 4 inches in the last year or so!  Bean wanted to make sure he was in the right place on the board too - he was :)
The girls honestly have so much fun at G&G's  house!  They just get super crazy and are so happy!
I think their cheeks hurt after being at G&G's house - they smile the WHOLE time!
Jaylee LOVED uncle Bean's hat!  She wore his hat around and kept calling her Aunt Heazy.  SO CUTE!!  It was great to catch up with the fam!  I've missed them so much.  BYU didn't end up winning - bummer for them.  The company was still fantastic! :)

A little Taste of Jaylee

This year for my birthday I was able to get a new lens for my camera!  I am SO excited!  I feel like I'm going to be able to take some amazing portraits!  Jaylee makes this face that I LOVE - it honestly makes me laugh every time. Yep, this is it!  She does it just to be silly.  Isn't it great?  I figured taking pictures of this face would be a wonderful way to break in my new lens!  Thanks Jaye!

Late Birthday Celebration

We decided that since I didn't have an offical birthday party we'd have one.  It was great!  The girls were so excited to take care of me.  Jaylee got me a LaLa Loopsy doll, Carlee got me a HUGE stuffed worm, and Chlo got me the I Dream of Jeanie barbie!  Loved them all!  I decided to go with the lala Loopsy theme on my cake. They're SO cute!!  Thanks for spoiling me girls!

Chlo and her Head Gear

Chlo has had her braces on now since the week before Christmas.  It's amazing to see how her teeth have changed.  Since being back from our Disneyland trip Chlo has added a head gear... It's so much less invasive than I remember them as a kid.  She looks adorable!  The best part is, she only has to wear it at home. :)

Disneyland day 2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! The second day at Disneyland was so great!  The day started by me getting several phone calls and texts wishing me a happy birthday! Thank you to everyone who did!  Then, the girls and I had pre-planned to dress up, so we were prepared!  Chlo went as Tinkerbell (I made her the skirt the night before we left and she got the wings from grandma as a gift), Carlee was Cinderella, she chose that costume because it was the most comfortable and not itchy :)  Jaylee was her favorite priness, Sleeping Beauty.  It was hard to tell because the costume is more on the purple side.  I even brought spray glitter to put on our hair and costumes.  It was WAY fun!  We started off the day back tracking to find more princesses to sign the girls books.  We felt like we scored since we got to meet Cinderella and Prince Charming.  Both of whom signed the girls books.
Dave waited in the Airel line for us so we could just walk right up to her when we were done with Cinderella.  That was nice :)
Jaylee was SO EXCITED to meet Sleeping Beauty.  We were worried because she only had a few minutes before having to leave - we were happy when we got our chance to meet her and say hi.  As you can tell Jaylee  was in heaven!
I loved how they had Sleeping Beauty right in front of her castle.  Fun memories!!
Since Chlo was wearing her Tinkerbell outfit she for sure wanted a picture of her with Tinkerbell, so off we went to wait in the long line again!  Dave left us again to wander...  While we waited we happened to notice Dan, Chanel and Jack on the ride right next to us.  I had to snap a picture.  Random huh?
This time instead of Vidia the girls met Fawn.  Chlo was excited to meet a third fairy.  These fairies were incredible!  Loved the costumes, makeup, and hair!  They were spectacular!
This Thinkerbell was a RIOT!!  She was beautiful and way spunky.  The girls loved talking to her and playing.
She asked them to make funny faces with them.  It was great!  I loved how each of them is actually making a funny face!  Tinkerbell 2 was a doll!  Perfect way to end an hour and a half wait :)
Grandma Marsh wanted all of us to try a hand dipped corn dog.  She offered to get all of us one.  We met at the city center for lunch.  Oh man, the fat was just dripping off of those things!  Matt ate 2 as did Dave - they were brave souls...  It was fun to have lunch together!
Chlo was thrilled to be having lunch with her good old buddy Case.  She felt like she didn't have quite enough time with him.  I was glad they were able to have lunch.
Here is our happy little group - all of us!  It was pretty cool to be able to have all of us in one shot.  This is all the Nelson family together at the "Happiest place on earth"!
This was hillarious.  All the littles were leaning over this ledge - we have no idea what they were even looking at!  I guess it was a peer pressure thing :)
Lucy is such a doll!  I had to snap this picture - isn't she so cute?!  She actually dressed up as Minnie Mouse on our first Disneyland Day.
After lunch the girls wanted to meet Rapunzel.  Her line was pretty long so we went with Grandma, Chanel and a few cousins to the carousel again.  It was a great way to spend the time with Dave waited in the Rapunzel line for us.  Thanks Dave!
Rapunzel was so cute too!  Her hair was draped all over her little cottage.  Pretty cool costume for sure.
Chlo was so good at chasing down different characters.  She was able to catch Alice - Chlo had to walk with her though.  Marry Poppins refused to stop for anything!  Holy cow!  It was fun to get her in a quick picture anyway. :)
The Fairy Godmother was SO CUTE!!!  She asked the girls if they were practicing their waves and curtseys.  She said they were all beautiful and made wonderful princesses.

This is the doll Carlee got.  If she flipped the skirt over Airel was on the other side.  Carlee was in heaven!
Dave just liked being able to sit in the shade and play on his phone.  It was actually a really warm day!  YAHOO!  It was fantastic to actually remember what it was like to be hot! :)
Jaylee is a total nut!!!  She was playing with her Woody doll and said he was poopy.  She got out a wipe and continued to wipe his bottom until he was fresh.  Cracked me up!  She made him fresh though - he was happy :)
We were all beyond warn out by the end of the day and excited to go home.
Most of us met at the bus to take the same tram back to the hotel.  I love watching Dave with his brothers! :)
