Building a Snowman

After the HUGE snowstorm we got we decided to take advantage of the amazing snow.  We built a snowman!
 Jaylee was loving the snow.
This is the first snowman Dave has built in years!  I love projects like this one :)

Christmas Day

The girls showing off their Christmas PJ's from Grandma Marsh.  They look amazingly adorable!
 The goods after Santa left.
 I love the first reactions.
The girls were thrilled with what they got.  Carlee got a "walking dog", an art kit and the Rupunzel bridal set barbies.
Chlo got the American girl, Kaya, the Toy Story 3 barbies and an art set as well.
Jaylee got costumes, a new baby doll (with costumes for the doll too), and princess barbies.
Dave got All Black Rugby stuff.  He also got a car racetrack.
The girls LOVED the barbie house.  It's fun that Santa thought to do a gift they could all play with together.  He's a smart man ;)
It was hillarious.  Carlee was able to give the barbies a ride on her walking dog.

After morning festivities we headed to the grandparent's houses.  Jaylee was BEYOND thrilled with her gift from G&G Nelson (the dress she's wearing) and she practically flew away when she saw her Jessie doll from G&G Jackman.
Carlee scored with clothes from G&G Nelson and girly girl stuff from G&G Jackman.  Perfect gifts for her!
Chlo got clothes from G&G Nelson too and TONS of Fairy Magic books from G&G Jackman.

Justin and Amber got camping gear and Jaylee wanted to try it out.
 The food was fantastic!
Of coarse the company was too.  You know, I have like 4 pictures of Heather and in all of them her head is either turned or her hair is in the way... I'll have to make up for that later :)
The shrimp is a HUGE hit for most. :)
Brian had to do a toast with the girls.  Perfect thing for a perfect day :)
After dinner we decorated candy canes as reindeer.  They were way cute!

Jaylee was Just chilling with Heather. :)
Brian even got into the fun and played with the barbies.  Yea, he knows how to handle his women :)

Christmas was an awesome day for all of us.  I love spending time with family and just hanging out.  Of coarse while at Jackman's we played our bingo game and had a BLAST!  We even got to Skype with Julie, Dave, Bailey and Maddie.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve day we decided to make gingerbread houses.  The girls had  a blast!
For our little nativity we used our little tykes set.  The girls thought it was great!
For dinner Grandpa Nelson was in a rehab center recovering from a double knee replacement.
Grandma Marsh provided KFC for the festivites.  It was perfect!
As always Christmas PJ's were gifted and the kids were ready for bed :)
Poor Pa Nelson was doing great considering.  We were happy to be able to spend the evening with him. :)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The girls had such a great time sledding in the HUGE amount of snow we got!  They were having a blast!  Thank you Taylor's for leaving your "sledding mountain" available for us.  The neighbor boys had even set up a jump!  Even I tried it once, hurt my bum on the landing :)  It was great to be able to go outside and just play.  After several times down the sledding hill we headed back to our yard to start a fort.  Carlee refused to wear gloves so she didn't last long.  I think we were all pretty worn out at that point.  We might have to finish it today :)

Yea!! I got a picture of Chlo smiling with her cute new braces!  Doesn't she look great?
She wasn't very happy with me once she realized what I was doing.  Out came the snowballs. :)

Chloé gets braces!!

This is my cute little Chlo before braces.  She's been worried about it for days.  She seemed pretty calm here! :)
The cute assistant had to tell Chlo about each thing she did.  She was fantastic!  Chlo was so freaked out she was whimpering.  I can't say I blame her - the unknown can be freaky :)
It was cute to watch Carlee.  She was so interested in what was going on.
Yea, probably shouldn't have posted this one... But I had to... :)
This was the part Chlo was most excited for.  Picking the colors for her braces.  She chose navy blue.
Jaylee was OUT OF CONTROL!!!  They finally escorted us into a back room with a door so the girls could watch a movie while Chlo finished...  Yea, that's my kid... :)
This is the only picture I have of Chlo's braces on.  She refuses to let me take a picture of her smile.  She looks horified in this picture... Poor thing.  She did a great job and in my unbiased opinion thing she's one of the cutest kid in braces ever!  Love you Chlo!
