A week with a new friend

The first week in June we were lucky enough to meet one of Heather's friends.  Cody is from Washington and he and Heather have been dating for several months.  He was able to come and stay down here in Utah for a week while he scoped out colleges that he'd like to attend when he gets back from his mission in Brazil (he leaves in August)  We were fortunate enough to spend some time with him and loved every minute.  He is a great kid with a fun personality and is so cute with Heather!

For some reason the moment Jaylee met Cody she was hooked! She got her fleece blanket and a book and snuggled right up with him.  She's honestly not usually like that. :)  I don't know how many times he read her the "marvin the monkey" story.  She loved showing Cody where Marvin was on every page.  So sweet!

At the Jackman party Jaylee was quite a pill.  She was super ornery and bugged.  As soon as she saw Cody and the chance to sit with him and have some cake, she lit right up! Now why won't she do that with me?  We had a wonderful week with him and we're so thankful for the chance to get to know him.  As a side note he was amazing and left me a bouquet of flowers to say thank you!  It meant more to me than he'll ever know!  Thanks Cody!
